The Cotswolds – A Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

If you have never heard of the Cotswolds before, is a 25 x 90 mile designated area of outstanding natural beauty with its honey coloured stone walls, cottages and picturesque landscape. There are plenty of things to do from walking nature trails, cycling one of the many paths and plenty of visitor centres/attractions.

One of the most famous attractions is the Cotswold Farm Park, it’s run by the television presenter Adam Henson and regularly features on BBC 1’s Country File. Adam protects and rears rare breeds of farm animals at this farm park so everyone can enjoy and appreciate them! You can also visit The Cotswold Water Park, Batsford Arboretum, Cotswold Wildlife Park and Birdland.

BOND IS GREAT- BRITAIN

James Bond has been assigned his next mission... to boost tourism and revenue in the country’s capital. 007 (Daniel Craig) is the face of Great Britain’s new tourism campaign launched by VisitBritain with an aim to attract more visitors to London. The ‘Great’ campaign was launched to coincide with the staging of the Olympics. ‘Brand Britain’ is interlinked with the legendary spy’s 50th anniversary. It will also cleverly coincide with the release of the new Bond film, Skyfall.

The 23rd Bond movie will showcase some of London’s most iconic locations, such as the National Gallery, Whitehall and Greenwich. After the Harry Potter films were released, the location for Hogwarts School (Alnwick Castle) experienced a whopping increase of 230 percent in visitors! Let’s hope 007’s charm will have the same impact.
