Everyone knows that walking is good for you and keeps you fit, but I never knew that it was this good for you! According to this article posted today by Express, “a gentle stroll every day could save your life”. If this is true, then why isn’t everyone out there walking! Just a little light exercise can stave off heart failure, heart disease, stroke, diabetes and even Alzheimer’s! To me this sounds too good to be true - surely a little walking or exercise a day couldn’t benefit your health this much?
According to a study, people who increase their fitness by just 20 per cent in middle age lowered their chances of developing the chronic diseases even decades later by 20 per cent. This is a great incentive to encourage people to get out and go walking as it could help you in more ways than you think! This is definitely enough to motivate me to get out and do some gentle exercise every day; does it do the same for you? It would be great to hear your views on this subject.
