Over the past week I have been walking our Marlborough short break after doing the daily luggage transfers along the Cotswolds Way to make sure that the routes are up to date and not obstructed. This time of the year is perfect if you’re a keen walker and love to see woodlands full of bluebells.
My favourite of the four walks was the Savernake forest as wherever I looked, all I saw was a carpet of blue/purple. It was beautiful when the sun shone through the gaps of the trees onto the bluebells. This historic landscaped woodland is a haven for wildlife including 25 species of butterflies, roe and fallow deer and various woodland flowers and birds.
If you want any advice about where to walk around the Cotswolds or Wiltshire to see these flowers please get in contact! To view the Marlborough short break that I walked please follow this link: http://www.compass-holidays.com/down-your-way/
