We’re often on the lookout for weird and wonderful marketing marvels that blow our minds, push creative boundaries or quite simply just make us smile. But when we came across Cadbury’s new venture with Blippar, we knew we’d hit all three. Impressed, mesmerised and excited we were!
The first of its kind, the collaboration sees Blippar’s augmented reality technology to be launched as a marketing tool. Ever the innovator, Cadbury will be the first brand to utilise the technology in the form of a gaming app.
Activating the game can be done in seconds. After simply pointing the phone at a bar of Cadbury chocolate, an introductory screen will ‘blip’ from the wrapper, ready for a game of Qwak Smack.
And the best bit of all? The app actually appears to be attached to the wrapper, even if you were to navigate around the bar!
Move over Angry Birds, we’ve got a feeling there’s going to be a Qwak Smack addiction! Take a look for yourselves…
