So far July has been a busy time for team apt as we’ve been organising and hosting events for two interiors clients launching their businesses in the Cotswolds.
Guests to the launch of interior and space design specialists, Completion were wowed by the company’s beautiful Cheltenham Showhome which was used as the venue. After our reccy to the site, we noticed that the clients were also extremely talented artists and encouraged them to display their art which further impressed the industry professionals and media attending. Julian Williams, former Head Chef to the Prince of Wales treated us all with his spectacular canapés, giving a real life demo of the kitchen appliances!
The return of bespoke furniture manufacturer, Mark Elliot to Cheltenham town centre with a lavish launch event at the company’s showroom on Clarence Street was a great success as we invited guests and the media to join us for a fabulous few hours of furniture, fabrics, cocktails and canapés.
Designing the invitations, managing the guest list and organising the traditional British canapés, bubbly and live music entertainment, we also pulled out the 30 year old sewing machine from the attic and got creative with the Mark Elliot fabric to make the aprons and ties modelled by the catering staff.
The theme for the event was ‘all about ME’, so the invitations (‘Meet ME’, ‘Come and join ME’) and tags attached to fabric of the aprons and ties (‘it has to be ME’, ‘Look at ME’, ‘Check ME out’) did a great job to attract attention, with apt being especially careful about putting ‘Touch ME’ and ‘Feel ME’ on the fabric tags for obvious reasons!
Supporting clients sponsoring the Cheltenham Cricket Festival, we took to the streets joining forces with professional sportsmen from Gloucestershire County Cricket Club to hand out fliers in the Regent Arcade to generate extra coverage in the local press, drum up excitement for the festival and get children of all ages involved in taking part.
On the PR side of things, we’re always looking for new ways to use the expertise of clients to provide opinion and comment on industry news and our coverage this week in the Sunday Mirror does just that by using our client Trust Inheritance to provide expert advice on Wills and estate planning.
...and finally, Congratulations to GB Sol who have been nominated for The South Wales Business Awards after we put them forward as the Technological & Innovative Business of the year!
