With champagne and canapés, apt enjoyed a beautiful evening in celebration of Daryl Greenwood. The event took place at the Prince Michael Hall at Dean Close School on Monday 13th June where £6300 was raised in aid of Cedars Amethyst Trust. Daryl, who sadly lost her battle to cancer last year, was set to be the face of the Trust.
Cedars Amethyst Trust was set up in 2010 by Cedars Health and Beauty, the award winning salon based in the GL1 leisure centre, Gloucester. The Trust aims to provide relaxation through an extensive range of treatments and well deserved pampering, to cancer patients in the Gloucestershire area. From massages and reflexology to facials and make-up lessons, patients are able to choose any treatment to suit their needs, allowing individuals to come to terms with changes in their body.
In honour of Daryl’s birthday, the evening was organised by Daryl’s Husband Andrew, her daughters and Angie Petkovic, apt’s MD. A silent auction, tickets sales and generous donations all contributed to the fabulous amount raised for the Trust. The 120 guests also enjoyed canapés and entertainment provided by students from the school.
